Travel-aware booking for UK mobile businesses

Booking software for UK mobile and home-visit businesses.

CalMov helps businesses that travel to customers take online bookings without treating every free-looking space as available. Customers enter their postcode and address first, then CalMov accounts for the appointment and the travel time around it before showing times they can request.

How a mobile valeting request can fit between two jobs

Imagine a solo mobile valeter has one morning job and one afternoon job already confirmed. The times below are an example of the checks CalMov can make; they are not a claim about live journey times between these postcodes.

  1. 1

    The customer shares the location

The customer chooses a 90-minute mobile valeting service, enters an AL1 postcode and supplies the rest of the service address.

  2. 2

    CalMov checks the previous journey

The previous booking ends at 11:00 in WD17. The business's chosen travel settings allow 20 minutes for that journey and 10 minutes of contingency.

  3. 3

    CalMov checks what comes next

The proposed service would end at 13:00. The next confirmed booking starts at 13:45 in HP1, so the onward journey must also fit inside that gap.

  4. 4

The booking time gets a final answer

If both journey checks, the full service duration and the configured buffers fit, the customer can continue. If either side is too tight, the time stays unavailable.

In this illustrative diary, an 11:30 start is offered only when the configured incoming and onward travel allowances both fit.

The level of travel calculation depends on the CalMov plan and the rules set by the business. Pro can check roads and expected traffic again before a booking is confirmed.

Questions from UK mobile businesses

What kind of UK business is CalMov designed for?

CalMov is designed for appointment-led businesses that travel to customers, including mobile barbers and hairdressers, dog groomers, massage and beauty professionals, valeters, cleaners and other home-visit services. It is currently a particularly good fit for solo operators who want online booking with travel-aware availability.

Does CalMov use the customer's postcode when showing times?

Yes. For a customer-address service, the booking flow collects the postcode and address before it unlocks live dates and times. CalMov can then use the location, the surrounding diary and the travel calculation included in the workspace plan when deciding whether a time can be offered.

Is CalMov a full route optimisation or fleet-dispatch system?

No. CalMov focuses on making an appointment bookable only when its service and surrounding journeys fit. It does not claim to rearrange an entire fleet route automatically. A business that needs work orders, live fleet dispatch or vehicle tracking may need a specialist field-service system.

Will my workspace show prices in pounds?

Yes. A UK workspace uses GBP for services, customer quotes and CalMov subscription prices. The business country and currency are confirmed during onboarding and then kept fixed to protect existing bookings and billing records.

Can customers pay when they book?

Online payments are available on the applicable paid plans when the business connects its own Stripe account. The business remains the seller to its customer, while CalMov uses the connected account to support the booking payment flow.
