UK customer story · Vida Pharmacy
From no online booking to a journey built into Vida Pharmacy.
Before CalMov, Vida Pharmacy had no way for customers to book an appointment online. CalMov created a reliable journey that lets existing and potential customers discover the pharmacy on the web and move directly into booking, while preserving the customer-address and travel capabilities Vida could use for future call-outs.
The requirement
Online discovery had no direct route to booking.
Before this work, Vida could not turn web discovery into an online appointment. Existing customers and people finding the pharmacy for the first time had no self-service booking option, so the online journey stopped before a time could be secured.
The new website and booking flow changed that. Customers can understand Vida’s pharmacist-led travel clinic, prepare for a consultation and move from discovering the pharmacy to a confirmed appointment in one connected journey.
CalMov already provided public booking pages, but it did not yet have an embed feature. Sending the customer into a visibly separate journey would have weakened the experience Vida had built. The practical answer was to extend CalMov so booking could open seamlessly from Vida’s own calls to action.
What CalMov delivered
One implementation for today’s clinic and tomorrow’s options.
The work was not about forcing a pharmacy into a standard mobile-business template. It was about keeping the useful parts of CalMov and adapting how they appear and behave around Vida’s workflow.
Booking inside the Vida website
CalMov built an embeddable flow so customers can open and complete booking without being sent away from Vida Pharmacy’s website.
Appointments at the pharmacy
Services can use Vida Pharmacy’s trusted business address, keeping the current in-pharmacy journey simple for customers and staff.
Call-outs remain possible
If Vida introduces customer visits later, it can add customer-address services and use the travel-aware scheduling CalMov was built around.
Built for mobile, adapted for Vida
Flexibility without losing CalMov’s mobile foundation.
CalMov began with businesses travelling between customers, where an address can decide whether an appointment time is workable. Vida’s current travel-clinic appointments happen at the pharmacy, so the booking flow should not ask every customer for an unnecessary service address or calculate a journey that does not exist.
CalMov added business-location appointments to handle that cleanly. The pharmacy address becomes the trusted appointment location for those services. At the same time, customer-address appointments remain available as a separate service type, ready for Vida to configure if it decides to introduce call-outs or home visits.
The outcome
A clearer route from service information to a confirmed appointment.
Vida now has an online route from discovery to booking. Existing customers can arrange their next appointment more easily, while potential customers arriving through the website can learn about the service and secure a time without changing channel. Vida can offer appointments at its premises now, while retaining a practical route into mobile services later.
This case study describes the delivered workflow. No booking-volume, conversion, revenue or time-saving claim has been made because those results have not been measured and approved for publication.
