Mobile nail scheduling
Mobile nail technician booking software with travel time between clients
Manicures, pedicures, gel, BIAB and acrylic sets all take different amounts of time, and so does the drive to the next client. As mobile nail technician booking software, CalMov lets clients book online from the treatments you set up, then offers only the times that allow for travel from your previous appointment and on to the next. It suits solo nail technicians, and lash and brow technicians who also travel to clients.
Common scheduling problems
Removals and infills change the time needed
A new gel set, a soak-off with a fresh set and an infill all need different appointment lengths before any travel is added.
Curing and drying cannot be rushed
Nails still need time to cure or dry before you pack away, so a short gap after a set is rarely as free as it looks.
Clients are spread across your area
A booking on the far side of town can make you late for the next client or leave an unpaid gap in the day.
How CalMov helps
A treatment menu with realistic times
Add each service with its own duration and price, such as a gel manicure, BIAB overlay, acrylic full set, infill, removal or pedicure. Include soak-off, setup and curing or drying time in the duration.
Address before time
Clients enter their address before choosing a time, so the times offered allow for your other appointments that day.
Travel time between clients
Lite uses a fixed gap you set. Pro checks roads and expected traffic before and after the proposed appointment, then checks the journey again before the booking is confirmed.
Reusable client questions
Ask about the usual set, nail shape and length, or allergies and sensitivities once, then let returning clients reuse their answers. Important answers are highlighted on the booking.
Automatic travel pricing
On Pro, set distance or journey-time brackets for the one-way trip from your base. The client sees the treatment price, any travel fee and the total before confirming.
Google Calendar and UK payments
Connect Google Calendar to see confirmed bookings alongside the rest of your week. UK businesses can take Stripe payments on Pro, or on Lite with the Online payments upgrade.
The toolkit
Built for mobile nail technicians: your toolkit
Tools for pricing removals and nail art, remembering each client's set and filling your infill diary. Nothing is switched on until you choose it, and you can switch a tool off again without losing anything.
Time & price questions
Removal and nail art priced by the client's answers
Ask "Do you have gel or acrylic to remove?" and "Nail art: none, simple or detailed", and each answer adds time and price, such as 15 minutes and a few pounds or dollars for a soak-off. The client sees the new time and price as she answers. Lite allows one such question per service, or two combined into a table; Pro allows up to 10.
Your booking page
Try do you have gel or acrylic to remove? and nail art yourself. Yes and detailed: on Pro and Team that one waits for you to approve it.
Rebooking reminders
Infill reminders, sent about a week before she's due
Each service has its own rebooking time, filled in as 3 weeks for nail technicians and yours to change. About a week before a client is due, CalMov emails her a link that opens your booking page on the same service around her due date. Clients who have already rebooked aren't emailed.

Client profiles
Shape, length and sensitivities saved once
"Preferred shape and length" is asked once and saved to the client's profile: short almond, say. Returning clients pick their profile instead of typing it again. A highlighted answer, such as a past reaction to a gel product, shows on every booking as "Important for this appointment".

Nail record
A nail record for each visit
Start job times the set against its estimate and keeps your notes, such as the products and colours used. The checklist (consultation, removal, prep, application, finish and aftercare) is Pro.
Photos
A photo of every set (Pro)
Take up to 12 photos a visit, kept for 2 years, so her next set can start from the last one. You can email the client a report with the photos you choose. Photos and the report are Pro.
Forms after booking
Allergies and sensitivities, asked after booking
Questions that can wait go in a short form linked in the confirmation email, due a day before the visit. Returning clients tap "Nothing's changed" or "Something's changed".
Site & access
Parking and a table to work at
Ready-made questions on parking, power and space to work are answered in the form after booking and saved to the address for next time.
Only switch on what you need
Every tool starts switched off. Switch one on in Toolkit when you want it, and switch it off again without losing anything you've saved. Your booking page only changes when you change it.
Client profiles
Know the usual set before you arrive
Set up reusable questions for details that rarely change, such as the client's usual set, preferred shape and length, and any allergies or sensitivities. Ask about the design for each visit separately. These example questions are yours to choose; a time and price question, such as removal or nail art, can change the duration and price.
Saved answers are reused when the customer books the same profile again.
Questions marked every booking start fresh for the next appointment.

An example day
An afternoon of sets, with the drive allowed for
- 1. Jess gets her reminder email about a week before she's due and taps the link. It opens your booking page on her gel manicure, around her due date.
- 2. She enters her address first and sees only the times you can reach from the appointments either side.
- 3. She picks her saved profile (short almond) and answers today's questions: gel to remove, simple nail art. The time and price update as she answers.
- 4. 1:00pm on the day: you tap Start job at Jess's. Her past reaction to a gel product is highlighted at the top.
- 5. 2:30pm: Finish job. The nail record shows how long the set took, and on Pro you add a photo for next time.
- 6. The calendar shows the drive to your 3:15pm client, which was allowed for when she booked.
How booking works
Plan a day of mobile nail appointments
Start with honest treatment times, then let each client's address decide which slots can be booked. The drive is added around the appointment, not squeezed into it.
- 1.
Set up your treatments
During setup, choose Nail technician for suggested services such as Gel manicure, BIAB overlay and Gel removal, or add your own. Give each one a duration and price. Lite includes up to two services, or unlimited services with a monthly upgrade; Pro allows as many as you need.
- 2.
Include removal, curing and packing away
Build soak-off, cuticle work, setup, curing or drying and packing away into each duration. CalMov reserves one continuous appointment per booking, so it will not fit another client in while nails dry.
- 3.
Choose your hours and area
Set working hours, breaks and time off. Add a maximum distance from your base or a maximum travel time per journey, and extra travel time for parking.
- 4.
Manage bookings from your phone
CalMov runs in your phone's browser, so there is nothing to download; add it to your home screen to open it like an app. Clients book from your booking page or website in their own browser.
Before you choose
Is CalMov right for you?
CalMov suits a solo nail technician who travels to clients with a set menu of treatments. Build removal, setup and curing time into each service, then let clients book times that allow for the drive.
A good fit when
- You work alone and visit clients at home or at work.
- Your manicures, pedicures, sets, infills and removals can each be given a realistic duration and price.
- You want reusable client details, such as allergies or a usual set, ready before each visit.
- You also offer lash or brow treatments at clients' homes and are happy to add them as your own services.
You may need another system if
- You need signed consultation records kept inside CalMov, or clients to send documents other than a photo.
- You need product stock control, or several technicians and desks booked in a fixed salon.

Frequently asked questions
Is there a CalMov app for mobile nail technicians?
CalMov works in your phone's browser, so there is nothing to download from an app store. Add your CalMov dashboard to your home screen and open it like an app between appointments. Clients book from your booking page or website in their own browser, without downloading anything or creating an account.
Can removals and infills have their own appointment times?
Yes. Create separate services, for example a gel removal, a removal with a new set, or an infill, each with its own duration and price. Include soak-off, setup and curing or drying time in each one.
Can I book another client while nails are drying?
No. Each booking reserves one continuous appointment for the selected service. Include drying or curing time in the duration so the next appointment starts after you have packed away and travelled.
Can lash and brow technicians use CalMov too?
Yes, if you travel to clients and each treatment has a set duration and price. Choose Beauty therapist or Nail technician during setup: each suggests starter services, such as a lash lift and tint, brow lamination or gel manicure, and you add your own.
Is CalMov suitable for a nail salon with several desks?
No. One active staff member can take bookings per business, and CalMov does not allocate desks or manage product stock. It is built for technicians who travel to their clients.
Do clients see the extra time and price before they book?
Yes. The service's time and price update as they answer, and the times they're offered fit the full appointment and your travel.
Can I stop reminders for a client or a service?
Yes. Every reminder email has a stop link for the client, a service can be set to send no reminders, and automatic sending can be switched off so you send the links yourself from Home.
Are photos included on Lite?
No. Photos on the job and the report emailed to the client are Pro, along with the job checklist. The other tools are on every plan, and Lite allows one time and price question per service, or two combined.
