How to

Connect Google Calendar, Outlook or iCloud

Connecting Google Calendar, Outlook or iCloud does two things: each CalMov booking is added to your calendar, and busy times in your calendar block availability.

Which plan

On every plan, Lite and Pro. Online services need Google Calendar, because it makes the Google Meet links.

What customers see

Customers are only offered times when your calendar shows you're free. For online services, they get a Google Meet link.

Set it up

  1. Step 1: Open the Calendar tab

    Go to Hours & availability and open the Calendar tab. You'll see Calendar sync.

  2. Step 2: Connect Google Calendar or Outlook

    Press Connect Google Calendar or Connect Outlook. You're sent to Google or Microsoft to sign in and approve access, then brought back to CalMov.

  3. Step 3: Or connect iCloud Calendar

    Press Connect next to iCloud Calendar. Follow the steps on screen to create an app-specific password with Apple, then enter your Apple ID and the app-specific password.

  4. Step 4: Check it's connected

    The card shows Connected, with the account, the calendar and the last sync. Press Sync busy times now to bring in your busy times straight away.

  5. Step 5: Reconnect when asked

    If the connection stops working, Home shows a Reconnect item under Needs attention. Press Reconnect, because until you do, new bookings aren't added and busy times aren't checked.

  6. Step 6: Switch or disconnect

    To change service, open "Use a different calendar service". To stop, press Disconnect. Events CalMov already added stay in your calendar.

Common questions

Which calendars can I connect?

Google Calendar, Outlook and iCloud Calendar, on Lite and Pro alike.

Can I connect more than one calendar service?

One at a time. Switching to a different service disconnects the one you had.

I sign in to CalMov with Google. Is my calendar connected?

No. Signing in with Google doesn't connect your calendar. Connect it in Hours & availability, in the Calendar tab.

Why do online services need Google Calendar?

Google Calendar creates the Google Meet link for each online appointment. Outlook and iCloud can't do that for now.

What happens to my events if I disconnect?

Events CalMov already added stay in your calendar. New bookings stop being added, and your busy times stop blocking availability.

Can I change a busy time in CalMov?

No. A busy time comes from your connected calendar, so change it there. In CalMov it shows as busy and customers can't book it.
