Mobile Dog Grooming Pricing and Capacity Calculator

Grooming duration is only part of a mobile groomer's working day. Model handover, cleaning, travel, cancellations and vehicle overheads to understand capacity and test a planning price.

These defaults illustrate one working pattern. Grooming time can vary materially with coat condition, temperament, matting, service type and handling requirements.

How the estimate works

Transparent assumptions, not a magic price

Start with completed capacity

The tool calculates how many complete appointments fit into the day, then reduces weekly and monthly capacity by the cancellation or unused-capacity percentage you select.

Allocate monthly overhead carefully

Van finance, insurance, maintenance and other monthly overheads are divided across the expected completed monthly appointments. Lower capacity therefore increases the allocated cost per groom.

Choose the target that matches your plan

Hourly mode values the occupied time directly. Monthly-income mode spreads the selected personal-income target across expected completed appointments. Both remain estimates before tax.

Questions about this planning estimate

Does this calculator recommend prices by dog breed?

No. Coat condition, temperament, matting, service type and handling requirements can materially change grooming time even within the same breed or size.

How are cancellations included?

The selected percentage reduces expected completed weekly and monthly appointments. That also increases the monthly overhead allocated to each completed groom.

Is projected monthly revenue guaranteed?

No. It is a capacity-based planning scenario using your price, working pattern and unused-capacity estimate. It does not predict customer demand.
