Mobile barber booking in the United States

Mobile barber booking software for house-call haircuts

A haircut across town needs more time in your day than one around the corner. Let clients enter their address, choose a cut and see times that allow for the drive. CalMov keeps the service price and any travel fee together before they confirm.

The scheduling problem

A free start time is not the same as a reachable appointment

The next haircut is across town

A gap that works for a neighbor may not leave enough drive time for a client on the other side of your service area.

Cutting time is only part of the visit

Parking, carrying equipment and cleaning up can push a tight schedule late. Include those tasks when setting your appointment rules.

Clients need the full price

A travel fee agreed after booking creates another message exchange. Show any travel fee you set alongside the haircut price before confirmation.

What CalMov handles

The information used before a customer confirms

1

Address before availability

The client enters a ZIP code and full customer address before choosing a time for a home visit. Your service-area rules still apply.

2

A different duration for each service

Publish cuts and beard services with their own time and price. Include setup and cleanup in the time you protect around the visit.

3

Reusable client preferences

Set up profile questions for a usual cut or clipper guard. Ask about changes for this visit separately so the client can reuse lasting details.

4

Travel fees in the booking total

On Pro, set charge brackets for the one-way trip from your base to the client. The review shows the service, travel charge and USD total.

5

Use it like an app on your phone

CalMov runs in your phone's browser, so there is no barber app to download. Add the dashboard to your home screen, and clients book from your link without installing anything.

Customer booking workflow

From a house-call request to a workable haircut slot

Start with the location, then let the client choose the service and an available time.

  1. 1

    Enter the address

The client supplies the ZIP code and full street address where you will cut their hair.

  2. 2

    Choose the service

They select the haircut or beard service, with its published price and duration.

  3. 3

    Choose an available time

CalMov checks your schedule and the travel allowance included in your plan around that visit.

  4. 4

    Review the visit

The client checks their details, any saved profile answers and the full booking total.

Worked booking example

Fitting a house-call haircut before a noon client

You are considering a 40-minute cut between two existing clients. This example reserves ten minutes for cleanup and ten for arrival and setup.

About the example: Illustrative service times and travel allowances, not a live route estimate. Use your own addresses and setup times when testing.

  1. Finish the earlier cut

The previous service ends. Ten minutes remain for cleaning tools and packing equipment.

  2. Drive to the new client

The example allows a 20-minute drive from the earlier appointment to the proposed address.

  3. Park and set up

Ten minutes cover parking, reaching the client and preparing your equipment.

  4. Start the haircut

The proposed 40-minute haircut has enough incoming travel and setup time.

  5. Clean and pack

The haircut ends. Allow another ten minutes to clean up before leaving.

  6. Protect the noon visit

A 20-minute onward drive leaves ten minutes to prepare for the confirmed noon client.

What the example shows

The 10:40 AM service fits both drives and the cleanup and setup margins in this example. An earlier start or a longer cut would need a fresh check against the confirmed noon visit.

Two ways to handle travel

Choose the level of drive-time checking your schedule needs

Drive-time checks decide whether the visit fits. Automatic travel pricing, included on Pro, separately applies your distance or drive-time charge brackets to the trip from your business base to the customer.

Compare the travel method with the operating limits you still need to allow for.

LiteA drive-time buffer you chooseA compact service area where most drives take a similar time and one generous buffer is easy to manage. The same buffer applies even when one customer is nearby and another is near the edge of your service area.
ProRoad and expected-traffic checksA service area where drive times vary between customer addresses, or a tightly planned day where roads and expected traffic at the appointment time make a real difference to which times work.Expected traffic is planning information, not a promise that every drive or appointment will start at an exact minute.

Before you choose

Is CalMov right for you?

CalMov focuses on booking appointments and allowing time for the journey. Check these details if your business also needs repeat schedules, team management or specialist records.

One provider, individually booked visits

One active staff member can take bookings per business during the founder launch. Automated recurring appointments and multi-staff scheduling are not available yet; rebooking reminders email clients a link to book again when they're due.

House calls rather than shop operations

CalMov does not manage walk-in queues, chair rental, retail inventory or a barbershop marketplace. Compare shop software if those are central to your business.

Frequently asked questions

Can clients save their usual haircut?

Yes. Turn on Saved profiles and set up questions for the details you want to reuse. The client still selects the service; a saved answer changes its price or duration only if you set that question to change the time or price.

Can I offer a free travel area and charge farther away?

Yes. On Pro, set a zero-charge bracket for nearby visits and paid brackets beyond it. Use drive time in minutes, or road distance. Distance brackets are set in miles. Your service area, including its maximum distance in miles, decides where customers can book.

Is there a CalMov app for mobile barbers?

CalMov works in your phone's browser, so there is nothing to download from an app store. Add your CalMov dashboard to your home screen (in Safari on iPhone, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen; in Chrome on Android, choose Install app or Add to home screen) and open it like an app between cuts. Clients book from your booking page or website in their own browser, without downloading anything or creating an account.

Can my US customers pay when they book?

Yes. Connect your own Stripe account on an eligible plan to accept online customer payments in USD. Customers can also book and pay you later. See US pricing for the current plan options.
