Problems CalMov solves
Can my booking page help reduce driving between visits?
Yes. A booking page can't plan your route, but it can help reduce driving by steering customers: mark the times that add the least driving to the day you already have, and optionally take a little off the price. Every time stays available, so no customer is turned away.
Steering, not restricting
Much wasted driving comes from bookings scattered across the day: a customer in the north at 10:00, the south at 11:00 and the north again at 13:00. Closing days by area stops that, but it also turns away customers who could have fitted.
Marking the best times works the other way round. Every time stays open, and the ones next to visits you already have nearby are labelled, so a customer who doesn't mind when they're seen is nudged towards the time that saves you a drive.
A worked example
Eco times on a Tuesday
- 1. You have a 10:00 visit 2 miles from a new customer, and the rest of your Tuesday is across town.
- 2. Your booking page shows 11:30 with a leaf and Eco, because it adds only a few minutes of driving to your day.
- 3. Other times are still offered, without the leaf.
- 4. If you set a £3 discount on eco times, it comes off the service price when the customer picks 11:30, never off the travel charge.
What to set in CalMov
Eco times (Pro)
Tick Eco times in Hours & availability, in the Travel tab. The few times that add the least driving to your day get a leaf and Eco. Every time stays available.
Discount on eco times (Pro)
Set an amount to take off the services in a booking made at an eco time. It never comes off the travel charge.
Show the days you're nearby (Pro)
Marks the days on the calendar when you're already working near the customer.
Hide times that leave short gaps
On every plan, stops customers choosing a time that would leave a gap too short to fill.
Who this is for
Businesses with flexible customers, where a gentle nudge on timing saves real miles each week.
Frequently asked questions
Do eco times hide my other times?
No. Eco times only marks the times that need the least extra driving. Every time stays available, unless you also tick Hide times that leave short gaps.
Does the eco discount come off travel charges?
No. It comes off the services in the booking, never the travel charge.
Is this route planning?
No. CalMov doesn't reorder your day. It marks which new times would add the least driving to the visits you already have.
Which plan includes eco times?
Pro. Eco times need drive times, which Pro works out for each booking. Lite keeps a fixed travel gap instead.
